New in the shop...

As promised the new necklaces are up in the shop. Its Spring! 

I decided to photograph them on the pretty shirt I bought a while ago just for this purpose. Its give you lovely customers an idea as to how the necklace will look and gives a bit of perspective on size.

Its all about the mini charm today at Custom Made and lets face it most days although not always (what am I rambling about)

Anyway...have a look at these two little fancies. Spring has sprung at CM HQ with some rather fancy little lambs and pigs. They are little and are hanging on a lovely long fine chain and we are currently waiting for the post to arrive for another little charm to go with them (oh yes, everything is made in out studio)
So, when they are up in the shop we will let you know.

Car Boot Sale Booty...

Hello,
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I love composing a Monday morning blog post. I did one of fave things yesterday. Went to the car boot sale which is very near my house. I was a little sad as lots of my fave sellers werent there but I managed to pick up this lovely little owl.

I bought it from a regular seller who has a horse lorry packed with house clearance items. She had 3 boxes filled with 200 owls! I had a rummage and pulled out this lovely little fella. She told me it took her and her husband 2 days to clear this house. Anthony (my BF) said " let that be a warning to you!"
Im not sure what that says about my nik nak collection, anyway my new owl is happily sitting with my cat (below) who I bought from Clare Nicolson

Enough about my nik nak addiction. I have lots of work to do. Number 1 on the list this morning is to finish a couple of brooch designs I want sampled this week. Quite excited about them!

Here are the newest objects of my desire. Oh hello doodled on clogs! They are made by Anntian and are available at Beklina who are a lovely store and very helpful and ship to the UK. So there.

I love the blog Advanced Style which is where I read about What Ali Wore
What a fantastic record of the outfits worn by my favorite sort of stylish older gentleman. This man is amazing  and his outfits are something else. Ali's outfits are documented by photographer Zoe Spawton. He walks past the cafe she works in each morning and she snaps him there. Here are a few of my favorites.

Monday morning heads up's...

I like Monday mornings.
I am always super excited about all the things I have to do in the week ahead. I do my planning list and check on things that have gone on/come in over the weekend.
I usually sit down put some music on and get going.

I had been looking forward to listening to the new Bleached album, so that was the first thing I put on when I came into the studio this morning. Its good. I like it. The cover is great too. Try it out.
The other thing I spotted this morning via Karen Walker on Instagram was the photo from their kidswear range for Uniqlo. 

I cant wait to see more of this. Karen Walker is my favorite designer and this kidswear range looks great. Its inspired by child geniuses. Amazing. I think it will be available in Japan first but I'm sure it will roll out around the rest of the world. 

So that's it for now, I have some pattern cutting to do today that I am rather excited about.

Verameat...

Hello,
If you read the blog yesterday you will know I have been on a little holiday in Los Angeles. Oh and I have jet lag...lame. Its weird sometimes I get jet lag and sometimes I dont. Flying from the USA to the UK makes getting up in the morning the most horrible experience, especially when coming from the West Coast where the time difference is the largest.
Anyway, the point of this post was not to moan about jet lag so instead I will tell you about another little brand/shop I found...yay!
Actually it was a little heads up from a friend of mine who lives in L.A now. The brand is Verameat. The brand is based in New York and have shops is NY and LA.

 The shop is full of lovely jewellery that as Pauline predicted, is just the sort of jewellery I would love. Here are a few of my faves...

 Actually I didnt see the brain ring while I was in the shop or I would have bought it for sure! I have a real thing for very delicate rings.

I did however buy the cheshire cat ring. Its fantastic and a lot more beautifully detailed than the photos show and quite by chance there was 30% everything is store the day I visited.
So, go and have a look, there are TONS of brilliant jewels!

Madewell...

Hello!
We are back in action in the Custom Made studio today. I, Anna have been on holiday. Sick of the cold and a desire for the sun led me to Los Angeles last week. Oh and it was sunny...and warm...and lovely *sigh* Anyway I'm back and I wanted to show you a couple of purchases I made.
As you have probably gathered from this blog and the general Custom Made vibe, I like bright colours and pattern...lots of it. I have been snooping around on the Madewell website for a while so was pleased to have the chance to visit a store. As a result these shoes are no longer just a pin on pinterest...yipee!

I am going to a wedding in a few weeks and I thought these shoe would be perfect. I also spied these socks below and had to have a pair. They are a colab with Madewell and Happy Socks. I like Happy Socks.

Anthony was slightly concerned I was going to wear the two together but I have other plans for the shoes. Neon striped sock here I come!

So that's it for today, back to work for me packing all the orders you guys placed while I was away. Oh and by the way we have EXTENDED OUR 20% EASTER DISCOUNT CODE!!!  Its not to be missed!
