Stuff I love...Nathalie Lete

Hello,
Well its Friday and I havent done a 'stuff I love' for ages!
I just discovered the work of Nathalie Lete via Pinterest. Her work is amazing. Illustration and painting at its finest.
The first thing that struck me was the front page of her website. So lovely! I thought this painting to enter the site was delightful.
This is a rug...a steak rug. Wow, just wow!
She also has a selection of lovely prints...
And fantastic silk scarves, all featuring her fantastic illustrations. I love the cat scarf (of course)
This really is just the tip of the iceberg there are so many more amazing products she works on so I suggest you go over to her site and have a look.

A little something...

From time to time we have little 'extra' things that arent in the main range or available to our stockists. They are just little one offs for our lovely shoppers. We have had charm packs for budding jewellery makers and heres our newest little thingy :)
Its the 'Make A Pretty Charm Bracelet' pack. Its available HERE (not our usual retail site) and comes with everything you need to make an, ahem, pretty charm bracelet.
Hope you like it, we dont have many so grab one quickly!

New in the shop...

Hello,
Its 5pm on Friday and time to finish work! Hooray, BUT before I go I want to show you lovely people some new items in the shop.
Our little geometics range is very popular. Our Tiny Triangle Necklace and Tiny Triangle Studs sell very well, as do our Shapes and Equilateral Necklaces. I wanted to build some extra items into the range but also wanted to add another texture and some colour to the range...
I have been looking at a lot of photos of fashion and art from the 80's. I have been looking at a lot of photos of Joan Collins in Dynasty! I have also been looking at a lot of photos from space. I really like Science fiction novels. Thats no secret. So all those influences have crept into these new items...
So we have the Altair Necklace (top) the Hex Earrings and the Vega Necklace (bottom) I'm very pleased with how these turned out. The fit well with our other geo items and we have added a touch of glitter! Great for Autumn. Their names come from the Summer Triangle constellation which is visible in the nothern hemisphere in Autumn. Very apt. I hope you like them.

Studio friend...

Hello,
Quite a lot of the time I work alone in CM HQ. I do have help in the studio but not all the time. I had always worked in full, loud, busy design studios until I started Custom Made. Now most of the time things are quiet. I dont mind either way. Bustling people or quiet, I like both. I always have music playing so there is always noise. The Custom Made studio is the ground floor of our house so the way to the outside work for my little friend is through CM HQ.
She often stops off and has a little wander and noses in boxes. Today there has been a mammoth cutting session (part of Christmas preparations) in the studio. As soon as the cutting table was clear Missy decided to have a nose around up there...

All this cutting was a little boring and rather exhausting. She eventually retired to her bed under the cutting table. Its nice to have company!

Collections...

Hello,
I know lots of us have collections and over the last little while I have a new collection. Well, really I think its a little project for my Dad! He buys vintage cameras from flea markets and gives them to me. Don't get me wrong, I love it. I have such a fab little collection, its brilliant. Anyway, on a grey day like today I thought I would share the latest find.
Its an excellent little cartridge film 110 from the 80's. And its so pink! This is so perfect for me at the moment as I have been looking at art from the 80's a lot lately. I'm really inspired by images and art from the 80's at the moment.

Thanks Dad!
